Funeral services for Gertrude Louise Butcher Staples, 78, of Tyler, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2012 in the Chapel of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bascom Cemetery with Dr. Johnny Beard officiating.
Mrs. Staples passed away February 19, 2012 in Tyler. She was born June 23, 1933 in Hubbard . She was retired seamstress and a Baptist.
She is survived by her loving family, sons; Edward Staples of College Station, Mike and James Staples of Tyler, one daughter; Margaret Helmuth of Tyler, six brothers; H.E., Allen, Kenneth, James G., Jimmy , and Danny Butcher and one sister; Laverne McLane of Austin. Eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Michael Staples, Brad Staples, Scott Lively, Brian Butcher, Joe Barron and Cody Whitehead.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
