Services for Thomas A. “Bud” Stanley, 73 of Tyler, are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Sydnor officiating.  Burial will be at Whitehouse Cemetery.

                Bud went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 in Tyler.  He was born August 13, 1938 in Waco to the late William O. and Ruby Crow Stanley.  He served in the U.S. Army, worked for Roach/Glidden Paint Company and after retiring as district manager, he went on to work for TMS Trucking Company for several years.  As a long time member he was instrumental in the recent remodeling of Gateway Baptist Church in Whitehouse.  He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cynthia Stanley and a sister, Margaret McCutchen.

                 Bud was a loving husband, father and grandfather to his loving wife of 51 years, Joyce Stanley of Tyler; a daughter, Debbie Zaber and her children, Lauren and Catherine Zaber of Tyler and a half-brother, Roger Stanley.

                The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday evening.  Memorials may be made to Gateway Baptist Church building fund, 101 Leisure Lane, Whitehouse 75791.
