Luce_001Services for Geneva Mae Luce, 88 of Tyler, are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Davis officiating.  She will be laid to rest at Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service in the chapel.

                Mrs. Luce went to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 20th in Palestine.  She was born May 1, 1923 in Granite City, Ill to the late Brownlow and Lillie Hance.  She served in the U.S.  Army during WWII, and then met and married the love of her life, Bill Luce.  They moved to Tyler in 1947, worked and raised a family and were members of Park Heights Baptist Church.  She was preceded by a son-in-law, John Berry.

                She is survived by her loving family, husband, W.J. “Bill” Luce of Tyler; a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Debbie Luce of Lubbock; two daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Lou and Alfred Jones of White Oak and Zoe Ann Berry of Palestine; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

                Memorials may be made to the Cartmell Home, 2212 W. Reagan St., Palestine 75801.
