Dorotha_PowerDorotha L. Power was born October 28, 1930, to Daniel “Doc” Bohannon and Alice Alberta Bohannon. She was a member of Frankston Church of Christ.  On Tuesday, January 17, 2012, she took a nap and woke up with Jesus.  In June 1947, she married Harold E. Power and for two small town kids a whirlwind life began.  From Colorado to Tennessee Harold worked for the government. She had a love of travel, crafting and cooking.  She was a gifted cook.   She had a quick wit, a smile that was contagious and laugh that will be missed.  She was a good listener and made your day better just being with her.                 

She is survived by her husband, Harold E. Power, of Flint; daughter and Son-In-Law, Kathy and Thomas Utz, of Tyler; Son, Rex Power of Tyler; two grand-daughters, Angela and Johnny Smallwood, of Flint, and Donna and Arthur Head, of Lumberton;  four great-grandchildren,  Patrick  and Ashley Smallwood of Flint, Kaley and Colton Head of Lumberton; her twin sisters, Diane and Kent Candler, of Bentonville, Ark. and Donna Furr, of Bartlesville, Ok  and a special niece, Diana Furr, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

                A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 20th at Cathedral in the Pines with Rev. Ken Sommerville officiating under direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home.
